Our client continues to grow serving Canadians from coast-to-coast for their domestic and international insurance needs.  Currently operating from 8 different offices and with over 185 employees and in excess of $130 million in volume.  They are currently looking to add a new broker to their team.

Description:
The commercial lines account management team’s main purpose is to design, secure, and deliver the best insurance program and professional expertise for our wide range of clients, in small, mid- size, and large accounts. The account manager will work on an assigned book and liaise with our clients and producers to assess client risk exposures and insurance needs including:

• identifying coverage gaps

• upselling & cross-selling

• preparing marketing submissions

• preparing binders

• preparing proposals

• coordinating with our insuring partners.

‍Qualifications Required:

• RIBO license, active and in good standing is required

• 7-10 years Commercial Lines brokerage experience

• Experience in Commercial Surety (POA)

• Strong technical insurance knowledge in placement of all classes of insurance including specialty products and placement for mid-large multi-line accounts ranging from niche and $50,000 to $1million, as well as US and International risks

• Some knowledge of specialty products a/o segment needs would be an asset (eg. Cyber, D&O, E&O, etc.)

• Other industry qualifications such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc., would be considered an asset

• Exceptional customer service skills with strong business acumen

• Sales-driven approach to account management, the ability to identify coverage gaps, and the ability to upsell and cross-sell

• Strong analytical skills

• Must be a team player and have a strong and positive work ethic

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

• Organized with effective time management skills

• Self-directed and able to coordinate multiple placements for large, multi-line accounts

• Ability to use creativity in structuring product proposals and documentation

• Advanced computer skills with experience in MS Office, EPIC, PolicyWorks required

• Must have approved and seamless remote work functionality and capability

• Adaptable to a hybrid work environment, combining both remote work and in-office work when required

• Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment

• Experience in a “hard” insurance market cycle would be considered an asset
