Commercial Lines Account Manager  

The successful candidate will possess superior client-service skills; a hands-on attitude and a high degree of accuracy. You will be the primary contact for an assigned group of clients and will contribute to the brokerage’s growth and profitability through consistent delivery of service excellence.

Your responsibilities:

-Manage and develop a program business portfolio to achieve satisfactory profitability goals
-Maintain and develop favourable relationships with our clients and underwriters
-To solicit and review new and renewal submissions
-To review and analyze policy coverages and claims experience
-Support the day-to-day operations of the team and assists in the daily maintenance of the existing portfolio
-Facilitate information gathering for submission process
-To ensure underwriting files are well documented within the broker management system (Epic)
-To have a thorough knowledge of current market wordings
-Respond to and resolve client and underwriter inquiries in a timely fashion
-Follows up for abeyances, adjustor assignments, claims opening/closing notices
-Reviews and issues Certificates of Insurance
-Prepares and maintains records, files, binders

What you bring to this role:

An in-depth understanding & knowledge of insurance terminology, documents, coverages, underwriting, rating, claims, and premium payment & collection methods. Excellent analytical, oral & written communication skills.  As well as:

-Minimum 5 years property and casualty experience and knowledge in Commercial Lines Fleet, D&O and E&O.
-RIBO License and a Post-secondary education
-Strong negotiating skills
-Positive attitude that embraces change
-Outstanding relationship building and client service
-Proven organizational and time management skills
-Proficiency in TAM/Epic, Microsoft Office & Excel
-Strong organizational, time management, prioritizing skills
-Attention to detail & Problem solving skills
-Knowledge of other provincial regulations would be an asset.
