Job Description:

The Senior Commercial Lines Specialist will play a critical role in our organization, providing expert risk management advice and insurance solutions to our commercial clients. This position requires an individual with a deep understanding of manuscript wordings, the ability to handle large, complex risks, and specific experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines, along with CRM or CIP certification, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and assess large, complex commercial risks, particularly in the construction industry, to develop tailored insurance solutions. Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and provide expert advice on risk management strategies. Design and implement manuscript wordings for policies to ensure comprehensive coverage that meets client specifications. Negotiate with underwriters and insurers to secure competitive terms for clients. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in risk management practices. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to expand the client base. Lead and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Professional designation as a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) is required. Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with a focus on large, complex risks and the construction sector. Proven ability to design and negotiate manuscript wordings for customized insurance policies. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on a comprehensive assessment of risks and coverage options. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
