Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic Team Lead for their Toronto Personal Lines Unit.  In this role, you will be a senior resource and mentor to the team, while managing a book of  personal lines clients.  You will be responsible for recreating, securing and delivering high- quality insurance programs.

Compensation Range: $70,000 to $120,000 annually

Compensation is based on a full-time 35-hour work week and will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.  It includes variable commissions and potential performance-based bonus.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Personal Lines team while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Mentoring and coaching team members, supporting professional development, technical knowledge, and service capabilities
Participating in performance management activities, including contributing to performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to support team development
Assisting with the servicing of Personal Lines accounts when needed to support the team and maintain consistent client service standards
Providing technical guidance on coverage questions, underwriting concerns, and complex client situations
Supporting workflow coordination and service standards to ensure timely processing, accurate documentation, and high-quality client interactions
Reviewing operational reports and processing activities to help identify opportunities for improved accuracy and efficiency
Coordinating team meetings to communicate coverage updates, workflow improvements, staffing considerations, and company initiatives
Supporting branch leadership and the Office Manager with operational coordination and team support activities
Participating in departmental management meetings and communicating relevant updates and priorities to the branch team
Promoting a culture of professionalism, compliance, and client service excellence across the Personal Insurance team

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements

Licensing & Education

Active RIBO license in good standing
Minimum 10 years of insurance experience, with strong Personal Lines knowledge
Previous leadership, mentoring, or team coordination experience considered an asset
Strong technical insurance knowledge and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively and support a positive team environment
