This position would be on a contract or a Part-Time basis (so a 2nd job for someone) about 15 hours per week.

Our client is looking for a spokesperson and content contributor to help bring to life the brand’s editorial mission to be a trusted, knowledgeable source of insurance and money expertise for Canadians.
The ideal candidate would be a seasoned journalist with experience writing and reporting on insurance and personal finance topic; have an existing media profile and be familiar with delivering key messages on camera, over the phone or radio.
Work with the marketing team and PR agency to develop four (4) data-driven insurance related topics that will be leveraged into at least four (4) press releases per year. Author a monthly column/article for Company blog. In relation to these responsibilities, you will:
· Work with the marketing team to develop topics and surveys and a schedule for press releases.
· Participate in the review process for these press releases.
· Act as spokesperson for these press releases.
· Be available for ad hoc media opportunities when feasible.
· Participate in a one-time media onboarding and training session with our PR agency to establish contacts and align on key messages (one half day).
