Looking for an exceptional Director of Talent Acquisition to lead group-wide recruiting, onboarding and training of new employees. Our group is entering an accelerated growth phase and our talent acquisition process will be a cornerstone to our success. We are looking for an outgoing, highly motivated individual that can create robust and innovative talent sourcing strategies, implement an effective selection process, and ensure exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
The successful candidate will be integral to delivering on strategic vision and growth plan. This role will report directly to the organization’s executive leadership. Design and manage talent acquisition , including recruiting, onboarding and training of new employees.
Develop and maintain an effective, multi-channel pipeline to source external talent through the use of personal & professional networks, job boards and external recruiters
Tailor the talent acquisition strategy to align with the strategic vision of the business by understanding the functional talent requirements in each of the key business units – claims, underwriting, finance, operations & IT.
Partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand the needs of each business unit and develop bespoke sourcing and hiring approaches to facilitate our strategic growth plan.
Support hiring managers in drafting job postings, performing candidate screenings and conducting initial interviews.
Manage and improve upon the group’s approach to onboarding and training new employees.
Act as the Company’s branding champion to engage talent that embodies the company’s culture
Assist with other HR tasks related to managing the employee experience and supporting the growth of the organization as required.
Track recruitment data and analytics to provide our business with real-time insights.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 4+ years of prior experience in talent acquisition
- Demonstrated success in sourcing candidates for entry and management level positions across a range of sectors Experience in high-growth, national scale organizations preferred
- Working knowledge of the regulatory and legal frameworks surrounding employment practices
Knowledge of the structure and operations of insurance companies is a definitive asset, including experience interacting with staff from claims, underwriting, finance, operations and IT functions
- Familiarity with Application Tracking Systems
- Self-starter, taking initiative to ensure your work gets done.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly collaborative and detail oriented.
- Post-secondary degree
