Leading full service risk management / insurance brokerage is looking for an experienced insurance professional. We seek an experienced Account Executive with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Commercial Lines brokerage experience. Candidates should be strategic thinkers who value honesty and possess a sense of urgency matched by integrity and an absolute commitment to client care. The Account Executive will be responsible for servicing a book of Commercial Lines accounts. The book of business consists of small commercial and middle market accounts, well balanced between real estate, construction, professional lines and other general lines. This position will be located in our Brooklyn, NY office.

The duties of the Account Executive include, but are not limited to:

·         Responsible for servicing a commercial book of business- marketing, underwriting, servicing, renewal negotiation, risk analysis, consulting, problem resolution, reviewing and rating

·         Maintain productive business relations and engage in extensive contact with clients, producers and underwriters

·         Ensure client has continuous and proper coverage and advise client of any change recommendations

·         Review current policies and provide recommendations regarding placement options

·         Rounding out and cross selling book of business to reach the Company growth goals

·         Apply knowledge of coverages and forms to research and reconcile discrepancies

·         Participate in the development of new business and retention of renewal business

·         Interact with producers to prepare specifications, applications, underwriting data and related information in the marketing of insurance products

·         Produce business proposals for Middle Market Accounts and deliver presentations to clients


Desired Skills and Experience Requirements and Qualifications:


·         Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial brokerage experience servicing accounts

·         Valid P&C brokers’ license

·         College degree preferred

·         Must possess a developing knowledge of commercial insurance markets to place new/renewal business

·         Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite

·         Exceptional organization and time-management skills

·         Self-starter, professional and assertive

·         Be able to handle a fast-paced, challenging work environment
